November 27, 2009Umatilla County Tenth Annual Lighted Christmas Parade. Line up by 5:30PM. Parade starts at 6PM at Newport Park. Bring your lighted llamas and carts/wagons. August 20, 2009The Benton-Franklin County Fair in Kennewick, WA, in addition to 4-H and FFA classes is again offering Open Class obstacle competition for camelids and their handlers on August 20th, 2009. People of all ages and locale can bring their camelids (any gender) just for the day, compete and have fun working together! Limit of 20 camelids. Registration deadline is July 1st. Arrive on the grounds between 7-8AM. Fitting & Showing, Pack, PR, Costume and Quiz Bowl competition. 4-H showmanship begins at 9AM, Open class 1PM. Demonstration activities (driving, packing, etc.) for the general public are planned throughout the day and evening, which are open to participation by registrants. $5 entry fee.
